This position is located in Brandywine, Maryland
:Specializes in all aspects of environmental compliance at the fossil fueled power plant and oversees implementation and management of environmental regulatory and permit requirements as well as compliance documentation obligations.
:Provides industrial safety support for a fossil fueled power plant. Facilitates implementation of PSEG Fossil Operations safety program by establishing and maintaining accountability for industrial health and safety performance and program administration.
:Provide oversight and maintenance of Environmental, Health and Safety programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State, Municipal and local laws and regulations and Corporate Policies. This includes all required Safety and Environmental training, site Safety visits and self:assessments. and ensp; and ensp; and ensp; and ensp; and ensp;
:Performs oversight and compliance for the implementation of all necessary federal and state environmental permit requirements, including development and preparation of reports to Federal and State, Municipal and local regulatory agencies and implementing procedures, guidance and aids to facilitate compliance.
:Provides technical guidance and administrative support to ensure compliance with Federal and State, Municipal and local regulations that pertain to employee and contractor health and safety. Develop and maintain safety and health programs in compliance with federal, state, municipal and local regulations.
:Develop, implement and complete improvement plans to support initiatives to reach top performance in safety and environmental fields.
:Participate in accident/incident investigations, EH and S audits, regulatory inspections, and other components of the Environmental, Health and Safety System. Conduct Root/Apparent Cause and incident investigations. and ensp;
:Develop, prepare and maintain records of reports to Federal, State and local regulatory agencies. and ensp; and ensp; and ensp; and ensp; and ensp;
:Must be able to work varying hours to support station evolutions.
:This position will require travel approximately 10 of the time.
:Ability to research, read and interpret safety and environmental regulations.
Required Skills, Competencies, Education and Experience:
:BS in Engineering, Environmental Science or Occupational Safety and Health or related field or 5:10 years of related technical equivalent environmental, occupational health and safety related areas experience in a power, or industrial/manufacturing setting.
:Extensive knowledge of OSHA and applicable state environmental regulations. Knowledge of applicable state, municipal and local environmental, safety and fire protection requirements.
:In lieu of direct industrial safety and/or environmental background, internal employees with 10+ years of supervisory experience in power plant operations, maintenance or support functions will be considered.
:Proficiency in the use of a personal computer and related software (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint). and ensp; and ensp; and ensp; and ensp; and ensp;
:A comprehensive understanding of Federal environmental regulations and policies relevant to the operations of a power plant.
:Knowledge of Maryland environmental regulations.
